The Municipality of Dropolis and Pogoni is the first municipality in the country to set up the Social Enterprises Permanent

The Municipality of Dropolis and Pogoni is the first municipality in the country to set up the Social Enterprises Permanent and Advisory Committee and therefore benefited from the European Union Program “SOCIAL-E”, a unique Accelerator of Social Enterprises and Thermocoites, aiming to strengthen social groups.
The Program in question, whose presence took place yesterday in Dervitsani, will be funded by 95% by the European Union and 5% by the Municipality of Dropoli and Pogoni.
The Mayor of Dropolis and Pogoni honored with their presence at the Program presentation event, Mr. Dimitris Tolis, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Mrs. Artemis Malliou, Governor of the Region of Argyrokastra, Mr. Odise Kote, the President, of the Argyrokastra Regional Council, Mrs. Lindita Rova, representatives from the Office of the European Union Delegation in Tirana, the President of the Municipal Council, Mrs. Donika Bauchi, members of the Municipal Authority, as well as many interested residents of our Municipality.
The attendees were greeted by the Mayor, Mr. D. Tolis, the Deputy Minister, Mrs. A. Malliou, while the program was presented by Mrs. Amalia Millou.
It is estimated that at least 60 people will be financially supported by this Program for a multi-month period.
After the presentation, Mr. D. Tolis and Mrs A Malliou inspected the renovation works on the building, which is under way and will be completed next month, while finally our local product production laboratories will be set up.
Renovation works will be completed next month, while it is estimated that in September this year, the full implementation of the Program will begin…

Workshops for learning traditional embroidery and general handicrafts for children of Dropoli.

 
At the Social Enterprise Development Center, an activity for traditional embroidery and handicrafts was held with the children of Dropulli, from the new craftsman of residency Mrs. Arjola Diamanti, who has an intensive activity in the field of creating traditional drop costumes. The goal is to preserve and promote the art of embroidery to the younger generation.

Today we had the honor to welcome to the Social Enterprise Development Center and Incubator in Dervican the head of the social program from the European delegation in Tirana, Mr. Enzo Damiani. European Union official visited Dropull as part of a project inspection. He expressed his satisfaction with the development of the project and discussed with the Mayor the possibility of the municipality participating in other European Union-funded projects. 🇪🇺
